Flowise RCE Nightmare: Hackers Are Already Pwn’ing Your AI Apps

Hackers are hammering a max-severity RCE bug in Flowise, the open-source platform for whipping up custom LLM apps and agentic AI systems, letting them run arbitrary code on victims’ servers.[1] Tracked as CVE-2025-59528, this flaw’s exploitation kicked off almost immediately after disclosure, turning your shiny AI builder into a hacker’s playground.[1]

Dive into the tech: Flowise, popular for no-code LLM orchestration, ships with a critical authentication bypass and command injection vuln in its core API endpoints—think unauthenticated POST requests that pipe straight into system shells.[1] No patch yet in latest versions, so if you’re running anything pre-fix (check your Docker images or npm installs), attackers can drop webshells, exfil data, or pivot to your full stack.

So what? Devs and sec teams: If you’re building AI agents or LLM pipelines, Flowise is everywhere in prototypes and prod— this RCE means full server compromise, lateral movement to your cloud infra, and stolen API keys for your frontier models.[1] One exploited instance, and your entire org’s customer data or proprietary prompts are toast. Patch now or air-gap it.

My take: AI hype meets harsh reality—tools like Flowise prioritize speed over sec, and hackers love free RCE candy. Ditch unpatched open-source AI toys yesterday; this is the wake-up call before your startup’s LLM farm becomes a botnet.[1]
